Abby Lynn Mc Fadden Cate ,57, of El Dorado passed away October 21, 2026. She was born December 1, 1968 in Ruston Louisiana to Buddy and Sue McFadden.

Abby was active in South Arkansas Arts Center, was very devoted to volunteering, very active in her church and was known to be very friendly and outgoing. After obtaining her Master’s degree in Psychology she opened her own counseling service called Cate Etc. She was a devoted mother and a loving daughter and sister.

She is preceded by her father, husband Steven Cate, brother Ben Mc Fadden and mother and father-in-law Bennie and Merle Cate.

Surviving her are her mother Sue Mc Fadden, son Dalton Cate, daughter Erin Cate McCoy (Cody), grandchildren Presleigh and Brody Mc Coy, Brothers Joe Mc Fadden (Christie), Jonathan Hughes Sisters Rachel Stanley (Tony) Kathleen Hughes and Brother -in-law Mark Cate (Terry), Niece Siobahn Stanley, and nephew Christopher Smith.

A memorial service will be held in her honor2:00pm Sunday November 8,2026 at Parkers Chapel Christian Church with Bro. Tracy Roden officiating.
