Albert Ray Helms Jr. Died Saturday, March 23, 2013.
Ray was born March 11, 1948 to Lurline and Albert Ray Helms Sr.. He was the grandson of Anabeth Murphy and Luther Helms and Charlie and Cordie Love. Ray was a master carpenter as well as siding, he excelled at anything he chose to do with his hands. He was an elder in the church for over five years at Christian Fellowship. He raised nine children and firmly believed in teaching the word of God and the way they should go and to know the difference between right and wrong. Ray was very generous to numerous charities especially those dealing with helping children and spreading the word of God. If anything could be said about our father he truly was and is a child of God. Beloved by all who knew him and dearly missed by all of us who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, his wife Suzanne Helms, his daughter Vanessa Helms and his sister Marsha Whorton.

Survivors include his children; Roxanne McIntire, Susie Cox, Cynthia McCluskey, Katherine McElveen, Monica Coke, Teresa McGhee, Jerry(Spunky) Sandifer and Albert Ray Helms III. Son-in-laws Larry Coke, James Cox, Mark Roberts, Tony McGhee, Larry Davis and daughter-in-laws Kaly Helms and Lori Tucker, sisters Alice Thompson, Charlene Adams, Carolyn Bishop, Donna Gilbert and his brother Robert Helms, granchildren; Bobby BurnsIII, Christopher Blackledge, Joshua Blackledge, Tiffany Duncan, Ashley Andrews, Justin Andrews, Vince McElveen, Brooklyn Lawrence, McKenzie Tate, Michael Peters, Ryan Peters, Jonathan Peters, Jeremy Coke, Jennifer Bancroft, Tori Sandifer, Timothy MCGhee, Janessa McGhee, Jonathan Sandifer, Madelyn Helms, Brennan Helms, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and former wife Jackie Helms.
To know him was to love him.

Visitation will be from 5-9 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Perry's Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the funeral home with Luther Harris officiating with burial to follow at Rehoebeth Cemetery.
