Alice "Inez" Taunton, 76, of Strong, AR passed away July 17, 2016 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Inez was born July 29, 1939 to the late James Earnest "Bud" Gandy and Alice Irene Vorhease Gandy. She was a supervisor at Prescolite for more than 25 years, a member of the Eastern Star and a long time member of Lapile Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her brothers, Bill Gandy, Max Gandy, Jim Bob Gandy, Pete Gandy, Farris Gandy, Reed Gandy and John Gandy; her sisters, Wilma Gandy Stinson and Ann Gandy Spigner.

Her loved ones left behind to cherish in her memory are her husband of 57 years, Tommy Lamar Taunton; three daughters, Aleda Taylor (DeWayne), Kim Moon (Kent) and Tammy Ottoson (Donny); grandchildren, Leon Osgood, Jr., Monica Sysak (Matt) , Jason Osgood, Scott Moon (April), Clint Moon (Holly), Eric Ottoson (Leslie) and Marie Ottoson; Great grandchildren, Rylee, Michael, Kenzie, Bailey, Kayley, Myllycent, Jayden, Kenzlie, Marcus, Lily and Rhett; one brother, Louie Gandy, a host of nieces/ nephews and her beloved pets, Sampson, Lucy and Peppy.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8pm, Tuesday, July 19 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado.

Services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, July 20 at Lapile Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Donahue. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery under direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.

Pallbearers will be Leon Osgood, Jr., Jason Osgood, Scott Moon, Clint Moon, Eric Ottoson, Matt Sysak. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Osgood, Marcus Carraway, Jayden Gouedy.
