Obituary
Archie Franklin Murphy 72, of Lee's Summit, MO.; passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 in a boating accident on Grand Arm of Truman Lake in Missouri.
He was born on April 16, 1938 to James Edward Murphy and Betty Alice Jerry Murphy. He was a retired store manger for Food Barn and Safeway's.
Archie is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; James Ray Murphy and Huey P. Murphy; two sisters; Juanita Wooten and Wanda Jean Murphy.
Survivors include his wife Patty Nancy Abrams Murphy, a son Jeff Murphy and wife Robin; a daughter; Penny George and her husband Curtis; two brothers; Jerry Murphy, and Wayne Murphy;
two sisters; Wilda Faye Jerry and Jearlene Waters; and eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Green Grove Assembly of God on Philadelphia Rd. with Bro. Terry Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels of Strong.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
Memorials may be made to Green Grove Cemetery 2871 Pigeon Hill Rd. Strong, AR 71765; or UCAPS 1000 Sunset Rd; El Dorado, AR 71730.
