Obituary
Arlie Ray Jacobs,84 , of El Dorado passed away on April 27, 2017 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
Mr. Jacobs was born February 27, 1933 in Edgar, Nebraska to the late Vernon Edwin and Flora Mae Spurling Jacobs. He was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church where he taught Sunday school and served as a Elder. He worked for 36 years for CB-Q Burlington Route and Burlington Northern Railroad. He is a member of Lodge #824AF & AM and the American Legion Post #10.
Arlie is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Alice Pearl Rodenbech; brothers, Donald Leroy Jacobs, Gerold Dale Jacobs, Gordon Earl Jacobs and Duane Lee Jacobs.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joyce King Jacobs; one son, Vaughn Ray (Lisa), one daughter, Stephanie Jacobs; grandson, Jeremy Ray Jacobs, granddaughter, Cassandra Jacobs and two great grandchildren; one brother, Russell Dean Jacobs of Stark, Fl.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 8pm on Friday, April 28 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday April 29 also Perry's Funeral Chapels.
There will be a private burial, due to inclement weather, at Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery 171 Camp Rd. Strong, Ar 71765.
