IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara
Harber
September 2, 1935 – December 2, 2025
Barbara Nell Harber, 90, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away on December 2, 2025, at Oak Ridge Health & Rehab. Born on September 2, 1935, in Magnolia, Arkansas, Barbara lived a life marked by resilience, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Gladys Stocks; her spouse, Phillip Randall Harber of El Dorado; two brothers, Robert (Bonnie) and Gaylord Stocks (Tajuana) both of El Dorado and a sister, Betty Baker (Carrol) of Minden, Louisiana.
Barbara is survived by her children, Amy Beaver (Jeff) of Fayetteville, Jimmy Harber of El Dorado, and Mike Harber (Angelica) of Seneca, Missouri; her grandchildren, Emily Beaver, Phillip Harber, and Jose Harber (Jordan); her great-grandchildren, Luka and Opal; and her sisters, Shirley Hurst (Carl) of Mountain Home, Millie Moseley of Little Rock, Jeanie Frazier (PD) of Montgomery, Texas and Donna Dye (Joel) of The Woodlands, Texas.
Barbara lived a life that was anything but quiet. She was boisterous, strong-willed, and unafraid to make her presence known—qualities that endeared her to those who loved her most. A proud letterman basketball player in high school, she carried her love of sports throughout her life, cheering passionately for her teams and never hesitating to let you know exactly what she thought about the game. She retired from Kmart after 15 years of dedicated work, remembered there for her quick wit, her stubborn streak, and the warmth she showed to coworkers and customers alike. Barbara served her community with the same bold spirit, always showing up unapologetically as herself. In her creative moments, she expressed her heart through journaling, poetry, and the traditional art of chicken scratch, stitching beauty with her own hands. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, creativity, and a presence that will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, Arkansas.
