Barbara Gail Latimer, 64, of El Dorado passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born in El Dorado on September 14, 1956 to the late Charlie Emmett Phillips and Estelle Pope Phillips.
Gail was the owner and operator of Gail's Greenhouse and More. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who was known for being a hard-working woman, who touched many people's lives. Gail had more than just a `green thumb, she was brilliant when it came to flowers and plants. She had a true passion for gardening and in her last years Gail was able to work her dream job as a Master Gardner for Bob Nolan. The Monarch Butterfly also held a special place in Gail's heart. She included plants in her gardens that would be beneficial to the butterflies and participated in Butterfly releases.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include son, Carter Latimer (Hayden White); daughter, Keisha Sims; adopted son, Joseph Norsworthy (Lindsay); brothers, Tommy Phillips (Beth) and Charlie Phillips (Cathy); sister, Annie Brashier; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Phillips, Nate Phillips, Natalie Phillips, Sandra McNeely, Bridget Fitch, Trey Phillips, Robert Phillips, and Danielle Murray; adopted granddaughters, Aspyn Hale, Zellie Norsworthy, and Aubrey Norsworthy; special friends, Alicia Lowery, Barbara Smith, Bob Nolan, and Angela Sutherlin-Niel; and numerous great nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July1, 2021 at Perry's Funeral Chapels officiated by Bro. Terry Smith. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Serving as Pallbearers are Mike Latimer, Robbie Fox, Trey Phillips, Robert Phillips, Joseph Norsworthy, and Bryce McNeely.
In Lieu of Flowers the family has requested that Memorial Donations be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House or Life Touch Hospice at 2301 Champagnolle Rd. El Dorado, AR 71730.
