Benjamin Wesley "Ben" Cook, 33, of El Dorado passed away Saturday, November 11 at Baptist Health in Little Rock.

Benjamin was born May 11, 1984 to Doug Temple and Marsha Sue Britt Temple, but was later adopted by James W. Cook. Ben was the epitome of a "good ol' boy" with a hard-worker mentality. He never met a stranger. He loved to help others and would give the very shirt off his back. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and shooting his bow or guns. But, his favorite thing to do was set by a campfire to tell tall-tales of large fish, big bucks, and long bearded turkeys, as well as telling good ol' boy stories of boyish antics with his brothers. Ben was truly a "country boy". His favorite color was camo; he was never found without his boots and knife. His family is grateful, even through his passing, he was able to give gifts of life to others by being a donor.

Benjamin is survived by his mother, Marsha Sue Mitchell (Samuel); adopted father, James W. Cook (Shirley); biological father, Doug Temple,(Susie); his two children, Sydney and Nathan Cook; two sisters, Jennifer Seets (TR), Anna Miller (James) both of Monticello; three brothers, Jonathan Cook, Shane Cook (Shelby) and Douglas Temple, Jr.; grandparents, Laura and Wayne Sinclair of EL Dorado, Ed and Mary Temple of Wilmer, AR. and Carolyn Cook of Monticello; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 18 with services immediately follow at 2pm, both will be at Perry's Funeral Chapels.
