On Sunday, April 24, 2016, Beryl A. Bonehill passed away after a short illness. Ms. Bonehill was born in Blackpool, England on April 11, 1933. She was trained as a registered nurse in England including post graduate courses in Midwifery, health visiting, and Queen's District Nursing. After coming to North America she worked in those capacities in Ontario, Canada and Peace River Alberta. Following this, she worked for the state of Alaska, with the Eskimos. A short time later she and a friend bought Oak Ridge Nursing and Rehad Center where she was the Director of Nursing until her retirement.

She was an avid tennis fan and a member of El Dorado Racquet Club were she played for many years.

She served on the board of Union County Animal Protections Society for 10 years.
