Obituary
Bessie G. Whatley Green, 86, of Spearsville, LA., passed away Friday, November 3 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House following a brief illness.
Born July 20, 1931 in Lillie, LA., to Minor C. Patterson and Ambrey Dale Hogue Patterson. She was a member of Blanchard Springs Baptist Church as well as a homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Houston R. Whatley; one son, Jackie Whatley; one sister, and three brothers and one son in law, Steve Hux.
Survivors include two daughters, Vera Pennington of Junction City, AR., and Trenna Hux of El Dorado; Three sons, Wayne Patterson (Ann) of Ruston, LA., Rickey Whatley (Carolyn) of Junction City, LA., Adam Whatley (Jennifer) of Marion, LA.; three brother, seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren as well as host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Blanchard Springs Baptist Church of Junction City with Bro. Richard Methen officiating.
Visitation is from 5-7pm today, Monday November 6 at Perry's Funeral Chapels.
Interment will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery in Spearsville, LA.
