Betty Sue Garner, age 82, of Strong, AR passed from this life Tuesday, July 30, 2024 peacefully in her home surrounded by family. Betty Sue was born April 2, 1942 in El Dorado, AR to the late Earl and Vivian Herring.

Betty Sue began working at her parents' furniture store, Herring Furniture, at the age of six and worked until the day it closed in 2016. She was a lifelong member of New London Baptist Church, where she played the piano faithfully for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her including her dog, Piper.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of sixty-three years Thomas Garner; one son Tommy Garner of Strong, AR; one granddaughter Haley Shelby and her husband Mitchell of Hensley, AR; four great-grandchildren Gricen, Lainey, Lucy, Tye; one brother Phil Herring of Hot Springs, AR; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services in her honor will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 3, 2024 at New London Baptist Church, Pastor Terry Smith officiating, internment following at Teel Cemetery in Strong, AR. A time of visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM Friday, August 2, 2024 at the church.
