Betty Glenn, 90, of El Dorado, went to be with the Lord on Sunday September 17, 2017 at Life Touch Hospice after a brief illness. She was born on November 30, 1926 in Junction City, Arkansas . Betty was an active member of First Assembly of God for many years where she held very dear her Sunday School class. One of her many joys was cooking for her family and friends; she especially enjoyed sharing that gift with her grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Lonnie and Mrs. Artie Edwards of Junction City; her sisters Mrs. Marie Powledge, and Mrs. Melba McMahan both of El Dorado. Survivors include her devoted husband of 71 years Mr. Hubert Glenn of El Dorado; her sister Mrs. Cathryn Prothro of El Dorado; her sons Ron Glenn (wife Barbara) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mark Glenn (wife Nancy) of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Paul Glenn (wife Tia) of Seabrook, Texas; her grandchildren Paige Arnold, Allison Townley, Adam Jones, Lynlee Critz, Bethany Aman, and Nolan Glenn; and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at First Assembly of God Church with funeral services following at 2:00 pm with Rev. Chris Cleveland and Rev. Greg Tucker officiating.
Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Perry's Funeral Home.
