Betty Jo Hamilton, 70, of Strong, died Wednesday, April 29th at Baptist Health following a brief illness.
She was born in El Dorado, to India and Inez (Munford) Dugal, on January 13, 1945.
Survivors include two sons, Dirk (Trish) Hamilton of Bryant, AR and Aric (Beth) Hamilton of El Dorado; her only grandchild Gracie Hamilton of El Dorado and sister Carolyn (Don) Smith and their three sons; Brian (Laurie) Smith, Kenneth Smith and Brent (Sandy) Smith. She leaves behind her special friend Ray McClendon of Strong and was blessed to have two best friends Carolyn Mock and Mary Fallin as well as her cherished friends Ernest and Sue McKinley of Pine Bluff of whom she shares many memories over the last 50 years.
Betty Jo loved fishing at her pond with family and friends. She loved working in the yard and was a firm stickler for organization. Betty Jo has played many different roles to many people such as, mother, sister, friend and a care giver to many different relatives. Betty Jo and her cousin enjoyed serving as the primary caretakers at Cane Creek Church.
Betty Jo was loved by many and missed by all. We miss you mom!
Visitation will be at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, Saturday from 5pm-7pm
Memorials may be made to Cane Creek Cemetery Fund 1268 Pippen Road, Strong, Ar 71765 It was Bettys mission to make sure church and cemetery were well maintained.
