Billie J. (Bill) Webb was born in Union Parish on May 13, 1929 to Bonnie and Octavia Reppond Webb. He had resided in the Pleasant Grove community for many years. He passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 after a lengthy illness.

Bill was retired from Manville Forest Products in Huttig where he worked for about 28 yrs. He also served as president of the Craig Cemetery Association for many years and worked tirelessly for them. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He will long be remembered for his loving and kind heart. He was always available to help his neighbors and friends, and very quietly performed many acts of kindness to those in need. He was well known for his beautiful vegetable garden and many of us were proud recipients of his special "pepper sauce".

He was preceded in death by his father Bonnie Webb; brothers – Boyce Edward Webb, Ted Webb and Douglas Webb, sister Dixie Edwards and nephew Eddie Webb.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Ola Smith Webb. His mother Octavia Webb of Spearsville, his daughter Bettie Jean Courtney and her husband Bruce of Bernice; his granddaughter Cameron Courtney and grandson Chase Courtney of Bernice.

He is also survived by two special "granddaughters" Whitney Webb and Sydney Jones of El Dorado.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Grimmett, Bro. Billy Joe Evans and Bro. Sidney McGraw officiating. Burial will follow at Craig Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.

The family especially wishes to thank Phillip and Ashlee Raburn for their loving care of Bill.
