Billy Carroll Floyd, age 79, of Strong, AR passed from this life Friday, June 30, 2023. Billy was born September 6, 1943 in Swifton, AR to the late Loise Keaster and William Floyd.

Billy was a longtime resident of Strong, AR. He was known to his friends and co-workers as "The Boss" or "Boss Man".  He worked many years at the Crossett Paper Mill until his retirement.  He also ran his own sawmill and woodworking business The Boss Company.  He loved to drive around town and backroads with his good dog, Spider, hanging out the window.  He was a beloved father to Julie and grandfather to Lydia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law Leslie.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife Sammy Floyd; one daughter Julie Floyd; granddaughter Lydia Fryer; two exchange granddaughters Yiwei Tang and Marth Bohaichuk; one sister Kathryn Gosvenor; two brothers Jerry Wayne Keaster and his wife Barbara, and Boyce Keaster and his wife Debbie; four aunts Peggy Bradley, Loretta Poole, Shirley King, and Nyoka Floyd; two uncles David Poole and Gene Floyd; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, AR. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of service at the funeral home. In leu of flowers the family request donations be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
