Obituary
Carol Jean Gilmore, 85, of El Dorado passed away November 23, 2016 at her residence.
Carol was born July 27, 1931 to the late Charles Munford and Erma Gladys Tuberville Munford.
A member of the Church of Christ in Strong, She worked for 40 years as a LPN at Warner Brown Hospital and Medical Center of South Arkansas. She received countless awards for her exceptional nursing skills. Being a Nurse was her passion, something she loved and enjoyed doing so much she did not retire until she was 79 years old. Carol loved dressing up, wearing fancy high heel shoes and having her hair fixed on Fridays . She always spoke kind words and would help anyone in need.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Gene Gilmore; one son, Ricky Nicholson; one step-grandson, Ronald Gilmore; two sisters, Charlene Williams ad Peggy Bradham.
Carol left behind her grand-daughters, Brandy Browning (Steve) and Jessica Moore (Jeremy); daughter-in-law, Susan Nicholson; step-son, Ronnie Gilmore (Susie); step-grandson, Shaun (Heather) and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7pm, Friday, November 25 at Perry's Funeral Chapels.
Services will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 26 at Church of Christ in Strong.
Interment will follow service at New London Cemetery.
