Cathryn Jane Edwards Prothro, 99, of El Dorado passed away peacefully at the John R Williamson Hospice House, El Dorado, AR on May 31, 2019.  She was born on February 24, 1920 in Junction City, Arkansas..

Cathryn was an active member of First Assembly of God for many years where she held very dear her Sunday School Class.  She loved to cook for her family and friends and make special treats for her nieces and nephews.

Cathryn was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Calvin N Prothro, her parents, Mr. Lonnie and Mrs. Artie Edwards of Junction City, her sisters, Mrs. Marie Powledge, Mrs. Melba McMahan, and Mrs. Betty Glenn, all of El Dorado.  Survivors include her brother in law, Hubert D. Glenn of Fayetteville,Arkansas, her nephews, Ron Glenn (Barbara) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mark Glenn (Nancy) of Bossier City, Lousiana, and Paul Glenn (Tia), of Seabrook, Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Arlington Memorial Park, Monday, June 3, 2019, at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Greg Tucker officiating under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels,  El Dorado, Arkansas.
