Chester Meshell, 83 of Strong died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 19, l929 and is the son of the late Bicente Alvino Meshell and Annie Martinez Meshell Watkins. He was a logging contractor by trade.

Chester was a logger and spent most of his life in the woods which he loved. In his earlier years he did some fishing in his spare time. He always enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved a good conversation. He also enjoyed playing "Bingo" and did so everywhere he could find the game being played. He was a devoted to his family who will dearly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Jo Ella Meshell a son Harold "Slick" Meshell, a daughter Gina Massey (Pee Wee), a sister Judy Kemp, two grandsons Harlan Meshell (Beth), and Chris Meshell (Tracie), five granddaughters, Alison Dugal (Shay), Kerrie Kingrey, Kourtney Castillo ( Richie), Alycia Perdue, and Raylynn Massey, five great grandsons, Justin Meshell, Chance Free, Jeremy Meshell, Luke Meshell, and Kale Dugal, two great granddaughters, Whitney Meshell and Mia Castillo and one great great grandson Jace Meshell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-7 Friday, July 6, 2012 at Green Grove Chapel near Strong under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the church with Bro. Rickey Smith officiating with burial to follow at Strong Cemetery.

The family will be at PeeWee & Gina Massey's residence, 3403 Pigeon Hill Rd. Strong, Arkansas
