Obituary

?Cllyde C. Burson, Sr. 85 of Strong, Arkansas, died Monday, November 17, 2008 at the Medical
Center of South Arkansas. He was born in Strong on March 29 l923 to Joseph Thurmon Burson
and Relda Lydia Burson. He had been the co-owner of Burson's Sport Center for 13 years and
also been a member of the Boilermakers Union Local #69. He honorably served in the United
States Army during WWII, serving in France, Belgium, and Germany.

In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was well known for his gardening
expertise. He loved sharing his produce with other people. He and Marguerite loved working in
their garden together.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Burson, his parents, one sister Masel Conner
and a great-grandchild, Camden Kelly.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Burson and his wife Ranell of Duck Hill, Mississippi,
Clyde Burson Jr. of Huttig, and Joey Burson and his wife, Cindy of Haughton, Louisiana; a
daughter Martha Little and her husband Shannon of Strong, one sister, Jean White of Strong,
nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday November 19, 2008 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in
Strong with Rev. Tommy Nash officiating. Burial will be in Strong Cemetery. Visitation was
held from 6:00pm til 8:00pm Tuesday November 18, 2008 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in Strong.
The family will be at 7834 Strong Highway.
