Curt Margis went to his heavenly home Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was 80 years old. Curt was born August 14, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to Curt and Lusena Margis.
Curt enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1961 and served for eight years before going into sales with Cain's Coffee and Vogels. He then went to work for Reliable Insurance where he worked for over 20 years. He was known to all of his customers as "Insurance Man." After retirement Curt took a part time job with Banker's Life Insurance.
Curt was a member of West Side Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Linda Nell McLelland Margis, and his special "baby girl" Chelsei (cocker spaniel) whose ashes accompanied him into heaven.
Survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Linda Condery Margis, four sons, Michael (Gail), Matthew (Cynthia), and Mark (Angela) all of El Dorado and John Condery (Kristie) of Huntsville, AL; an unofficial adopted son, Early Lloyd; brother, Leonard "Pete" Sneed of Texarkana; sister Ann Tennery (Tom) of Sanibel Island, FL; fifteen grandchildren, Leslie Powell (Matthew) of Maumelle, Brandon Margis (Amy) of Greenwood, Megan Bradley (Logan) of Stonewall, LA, Rodney Margis and Shelby Margis, Hannah Margis of Fayetteville, Cameron, Haven, Hadley, Henley and Harper Margis all of El Dorado, Jordan Condery (Angie), Ryan, Bret and Grant Condery all of Huntsville, AL; seven great grandchildren, Peyton and Reagan Margis, Madison Powell, Spencer and Emma Claire Bradley and Baby Bradley due January 2021 and Nova Condery.
Due to Covid-19 safety precautions, a memorial service and visitation will be scheduled at a later date under the direction of Perry's Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Perry and Bro. Cody Lain officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to West Side Baptist Church, UCAPS or Donor's Choice.
