Dan Gwendall Fairris, 80, of Strong Arkansas went to his heavenly home on Friday, October 25, 2019 which also happened to be his 80 ^th birthday. He was born on October 25, 1939 in Strong, AR to John Henry and Addie Laura Binford Fairris.

Dan worked as a pipeliner for many years which enabled him to travel all over the world. He was an avid outdoors man, who enjoyed tending to his farm and cows, working his hay fields, and operating his bulldozer. Dan was gifted mechanically, a gift he used in his career and in rebuilding Ford Mustangs. He was very social and enjoyed going out to eat with his family and friends. Dan was a jack of all trades and had many things he enjoyed in life, but his truest passion was his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Linda Frisby Fairris and Charlene Johnson Fairris; brother, James Fairris; and sisters, Melba Stewart and Lovie Robertson.

Survivors include his daughters, Pamela Gathright and Dana Dodd; step-children, Amanda Park (Scotty), David Johnson (Tia), and Jeffrey Johnson; brother, Sam Fairris (Peggy), Jerry Fairris (Jeanette) and Morgan Fairris; sister, Linda King (Donnie); grandchildren, Camille Gathright, Dustin Gathright (Megan), Candice Dodd, Max Vestal, Addie Fairris, Jillian Park, Owen Park, Meagan King (Josh), Cade Johnson, Drew Johnson, and Isabella Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at New London Cemetery. A Graveside Service will immediately follow visitation at 3:00 PM officiated by Bro. Tommy Nash under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
