Danny Ray Orren, age 67, passed from this life Friday, September 5, 2025. Danny was born November 5, 1957 in El Dorado, AR to parents Lonnie and Helen Orren.

Danny Orren, affectionately known by many as "Fat Boy," passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless stories. A true outdoorsman at heart, Danny found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time beneath the open sky. He was never happier than when frying up a mess of fish and inviting friends and family over to share in the meal.

Danny devoted his life to being a loving dad and a caring husband. His marriage to Joanie was filled with partnership and adventure, including many occasions when she joined him on the road during his career as a truck driver. Through the years, Danny toured the country behind the wheel, proudly carrying his CB handle "Fat Boy," and making friends everywhere the road took him.

Known for being handy and able to fix just about anything, Danny always had a solution and a story to go with it. He had a natural gift for spinning tall tales that brought smiles and laughter to those around him. A Razorback fan through and through, he cheered on his team with the same enthusiasm he brought to every part of his life.

Danny will be remembered as a good old boy whose heart was as big as his stories, whose hands were always ready to help, and whose love for his family was his proudest accomplishment. His life was full, his presence unforgettable, and his memory will continue to live on in those who loved him most.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Katie Kamille Orren, father Lonnie Orren, and sister Diane Bingham.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his loving wife of forty-one years Joanie Lee Abbitt; two sons Danny Orren, Jr of Hot Springs, AR, and Jody Miller of Norphlet, AR; one daughter Kimberly Cook of El Dorado, AR; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; mother Helen Orren; two brothers Joe Orren (Carolyn), Dennis Orren (Ellen); one sister Donna Orren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2025 at Perry's Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, AR.
