David Randall "Griff" Griffith, age 62, passed from this life Thursday, July 4, 2024 at South Arkansas Regional Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. David was born July 30, 1961 in El Dorado, AR to the late James Clifton and Catherine Varnell Griffith.

Griff was a sold-out member of One Community Church, where he was active on the media team. He had a heart for helping people and touched many lives with his generosity. He was dedicated to his work as Network Administrator at South Arkansas Community College IT Department serving 25 years. His colleague Dr. Tim Kirk recalled "he showed up every day to give his all . . . the college is greatly diminished by his departure". He enjoyed cooking, often he would drop a pie off at a friend's house and swap recipes. His two pups Jimmy and Cathy are lost without him. El Dorado will pause as a great light has gone out in the universe.

Those left to cherish his memory include: one sister Connie Edwards of Hot Springs, AR; one brother Mike Griffith of Conway, AR; great friends Judy Barksdale and Sherry Case & Family; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services in his honor will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday morning, July 10, 2024 at One Community Church in El Dorado, AR, internment following at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Pastor Jason Yarbrough officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4-7:00 PM Tuesday evening, July 9, 2024, at the church. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of the South Arkansas Regional Medical Center ICU and Dr. Forrest Woods for their attention to the needs of David through his final journey.
