David Glenn Harris, 65, of El Dorado passed away at John R. Williamson Hospice House , Sunday
December 13, 2009 . He was the son of Pettus Harris and Loyie Cary Harris.

He will be greatly missed by his family ; Suzanne Harris , his daughters Cinda Fundeburg ,and her
husband Joe , Anndi Hensley , both of El Dorado, and Holly Price and her husband Chris of
Sherwood , his son Michael B. Harris of El Dorado, and his grandsons Blakney Bryant, Daniel
Bryant ,and his grandaughters Lexie Bryant of El Dorado , and Addison Price of Sherwood., and
his great-grandson Aysa Bryant of El Dorado. He will also be missed by his two sisters Verne
Harris of El Dorado and Edyth Bellizio of San Antonio.He is preceded by ;his parents and two sons
Clift Harris and James "Bubba" Harris, and a brother , James Vernon Harris.

He loved to hunt and was an active member of Harris Deer Camp.
David Harris was the 1970 Golden Glove Boxing Champion of Baton Rouge , and he continued to
use his fighting instinct and strong will in his battle with cancer. He was a Journeyman Brick
Mason and enjoyed teaching others the craft. He truly believed that "if you give a man a fish he will
eat for a day , but if you teach a man to fish , he will eat for the rest of his life." Honoring his
memory by acting as Pallbearers will be Ricky Lawrence, Randy Gardner, Mike Blann, Brent
Clayton, Alan Hunt, Rick Pate. Honorary Pallbearers will be Floyd Slaughter, and Jerry Mitchell

Visitation will be Tuesday , December 15, 2009 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Perry's Funeral
Chapels . Services will be 2:00 pm ,Wednesday , December 16, 2009 , at Perry's Funeral Chapels in
El Dorado , with Bro . David Preston officiating. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to John R. Williamson Hospice House 2301 Champagnolle Road El
Dorado Arkansas , 71730 and memorials made to Harris Deer Camp may be sent to Simmons
Bank. The family will be at 2204 Mt. Holly Rd. in El Dorado .
