Deanie Spry Walthall, 56, of El Dorado, passed away on Friday November 30, 2018. She was born on January 29, 1962 to Eddie Rae and Joyce Spry in El Dorado.
Deanie graduated from Fountain-Hill High School in 1980 and married her high school sweet heart, Eugene "Bubba: Walthall, in March of 1985. Then they had their first daughter, Courtney Savannah, July of 1986. Three years later they added their second daughter, Lakin Desha, in March of 1989. Courtney married JR Phillips in August of 2016 and she gained a grandson, Michael Drake. In December 2017 she was blessed with another grandson, Wyatt Lane. She worked as the Ground Manager and Park Ranger at Felsenthal Wilde Life Refuge for the past 5 years where she met numerous friends that soon became part of the family. Deanie, truly lived her life to the fullest and touched every person she came across. Her smile and sassy attitude was always sure to make her the life of the party. She had the most selfless and giving heart of anyone, always making sure to spoil everyone around her. Over the years she earned several nicknames including "Mouth of the South" at the chuck wagon races, but her most prized is that of "DeeDee." She had the privilege of helping raise many neighborhood kids that she considered her own.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; grandparents; and an uncle.
She was survived by her husband, Bubba; daughters Lakin Walthall and Courtney Phillips (JR); grandsons, Drake and Wyatt; two sisters, Tab Spry and Donete Sinclair; niece, Morgan Jameson (John); nephew, Logan Sinclair; along with many other nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended and "acquired" family members.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
