Diana Denning Hurst, age 85, passed from this life September 3, 2024 at 1912 Greenhaven,
Richardson, TX where she joyfully lived for fifty-nine years.
Born June 28, 1939, Diana was the forth of four children born
to HG "Tex" Denning and Girtha Bates Denning. The family
moved around coming from Gretna Louisiana (before the
Crescent city connection bridge was built) to Norphlet,
AR. Her mother passed away too early and her father
remarried and the new family raised her. Diana moved to
Dallas, TX fresh out of high school and went to work for Sun
Oil Company as a receptionist before marrying David L Hurst.
They lived in Richardson, TX from 1966 where they had a
son Michael D. Hurst. Diana divorced in the 1970's but
remained in the same house until her passing at home.
Diana enjoyed golf on TV as well as college football. She
could be found on Sundays watching whichever sport was on
or switching back and fourth between events. Her companion
dog Sassy always at her side following "Mommy" to cheer on
the events and have fun. A lover of fishing, she just was very
busy working and raising a child and not able to enjoy it as
often as she would like to have gone.
A lifelong resident of Richardson, TX she always reminded
people that she was a Razorback from Arkansas. She was
preceded in death by her husband David L Hurst, sisters
Delores Denning, Patty Maza, Mary Kovacick. She is survived
by her son Michael Hurst and nieces Teressa Holloway, Cheri
Ormsby ,nephews Rick Maness, Brian Taylor, Michael Taylor,
and Patrick Taylor.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-3:00 PM Saturday, September 21,2024 at the Richardson Event Space, 1201 S Sherman suite 213.

Then a memorial graveside service will be held in her honor at 10:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery in El Dorado, AR, inurnment following.
