Dolwyn Marie "Judy" Wood Elkins, 72, of Strong went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3,
2008 @ her home. She was born May 16, 1935 and was the daughter of Jesse Wells and Jonnie
Vera and Albert Lee Hixon. Judy owned and operated a tomato farm in Bradley County, she
owned and operated a logging company C&D Wood Inc., she managed a bait shop @ Careyville
Landing, she later managed the Felsenthal Campgrounds until she retired. She enjoyed hunting,
fishing ,playing cards, and spending time with her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents , one son Rodney Lee Osborn, one sister-in-law Lillie
Rose Wells, her loving 1st husband Clarence Woody Wood, and her second husband Robert Dean
Elkins.

Survivors include a son Bobby Osborn Sr., and his wife Judy Lee of St. Joseph, Louisiana, a
daughter Judy Ann Osborn and her husband Gabriel Martinez of Troup, Texas, a step-son Steven
Wood and a step-daughter Stephanie Wood, 4 brothers John Wells and his wife Jean of El
Dorado, William Wells and his wife Eddie Joyce of LaRose, Louisiana, Major Lee Hixon of
Strong, Arkansas, Garland Hixon and his wife Debbie of Lafayette, Louisiana, and one honorary
brother Livy Norsworthy of El Dorado, 15 grandchildren, 13 grandchildren-in-laws, 31 great-
grandchildren and numerous cousins and nieces, nephews, and dear friends that will miss her
tremedously. She leaves behind a void that will not easily be filled.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday May 6, 2008 at 10:00am at New London Baptist Church with
Rev. Harold Diffie officiating. Burial will follow at Green Grove Cemetery under the direction
of Perry's Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be today from 5:00pm til 9:00pm at New London
Baptist Church.
