Obituary
Dorothy W. Cary, 86, of El Dorado passed away November 17, 2009 at Timberlane Health &
Rehab.
She was born March 20, 1923 in Union County to Elisha G. Nash and Ada C. Ham Nash. She
was formerly employed by Prescolite and was a charter member of Goodwin Field Assembly of
God Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J.D. Cary; four brothers, Elbert G. Nash,
Elvin G. Nash, Orhl Wilson Nash and William (Bill) Nash; and two sisters, Peggy Glowacki and
Dora Thomas.
Survivors include a sister, Edna Lorene Jackson, Wichita, Kansas, three children; J. Otis Cary
(Ginny), El Dorado, Vonell DeFatta ( Nick), Shreveport, LA. and Theda Cary (Pinchera),
Greenwell Springs, LA., six grandchildren; Kahle Cary (Susanna), El Dorado, AR, Greg Cary
(Stacie), Junction City, LA, Nicholas DeFatta, Jr. (Linda), Moorpark, CA., Patrick DeFatta,
Dallas, TX, and Stacey Pinchera and Adam Pinchera (Sidney), both of Baton Rouge, LA; and
four great grandchildren, Luke, Ryan, and Andrew Defatta, and Addison Cary.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30am Friday November 20, 2009 at Arlington Cemetery,
with Rev. Bill Carter and Rev. Clinton Carey officiating. Burial will be under the direction of
Perry's Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be held from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Thursday November
19, 2009 at the funeral home.
