Earl
Phillips
November 8, 1968 – April 23, 2026
Terence Earl Phillips
Earl, as he was known as to friends and family, was born November 8, 1968 and went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2026.
Earl was the youngest son of Luther and Felix (McCree) Phillips. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Luther Ray Phillips and his sister, Helen Malone. Earl leaves behind a daughter, Jensen Phillips and a son, Caden Blue. He is also survived by three sisters, Evelyn Phillips, Sharon "Kay" Nelson, and Elizabeth "Ann" Thomas (David) along with many nieces and nephews, his special friend Brenda Edwards and mother of his daughter, with whom he remained close, Shannon Phillips.
Earl loved the Lord and shared his faith with everyone he could. He was an honest, hardworking man that never met a stranger. He was kind and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Many people knew Earl from work. Coworkers became friends as he worked in different positions over the years. Eldorado Cable Vision as a technician, an operator at Great Lakes Chemical, the Safety Director at Evers Electric, Site Safety Coordinator at Blattner Energy, and Loss Prevention Consultant for Summit. His work ethic was one of a kind and he hoped to inspire others to do the same. He believed in taking pride in your job, whether you were the president or the custodian, do it with integrity. Earl always made a lasting impression on the people that knew him and those that worked with him. His smile and laugh were infectious, he loved to love. Earl was a child at heart, playing and picking any chance he got. He enjoyed being outside with God's creations, bird watching with his daughter, and had two green thumbs. Earl gave everyone an agape love, unconditional and selfless. He was a jack of all trades and could fix any and everything, or at least gave it his best efforts. He believed in working hard and doing the job right the first time. Earl was very active at his home church, Mt. Willie Baptist, and there was a special energy when he prayed during service. He was an amazing father, brother, uncle, son, and friend. To honor him, do something kind today. Make a child laugh, give without expecting anything in return, pray, and play your music a little bit louder - he loved to play his extra loud.
