Earnest A. Taylor, 71 of Strong, died Thursday March 21, 2013 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born July 31, 1941 in Huttig, Arkansas to Norman Luther Taylor and Martha Annie Lowery Taylor. He was a sawmill mill wright by trade and worked for Jet Asphault the last 15 years. He was a member of Union Methodist Protestant Church in Strong.
Earnest loved being outdoors, especially working his farm and garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Annie Nadine McEuen and his first wife, Floy Jean Smith Taylor.
Survivors include his wife Mary C. Taylor of Strong, two daughters, Regina Middleton of Sterlington, Lousiana, and Paula Cameron (Dion) of El Dorado, brothers and sisters, Charles Taylor of Rolla, MO, Franklin Taylor of Fort Worth, TX, Dorothy Carter of Daingefield, TX, Harold Taylor of Rolla, MO, John Taylor of Mountain Home, AR, Marthell Taylor of Booneville MS, and Lucille Parrish of Garland, TX, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Sunday March 24, 2013 at Perry's Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be 2pm Monday March 25, 2013 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado with Revs. Donald Smith, Harold Taylor, and Robert Burns officiating.
Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery,Spearsville, Lousiana
