Edna Marie Buckwalter, 90, of El Dorado, went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 6, 2018 at Courtyard Nursing and Rehabilitation where she was met by her loving husband, Logan J. Buckwalter.

Edna was born on April 23, 1928 to Turner and Lucy Coke Darden. She loved her family and Church. She truly enjoyed babysitting many, many children who still fondly call her "Mom Buck". Her hobbies included cooking, working in her flower beds, sewing and crocheting. During the holidays she and her husband made Italian Creme Cakes. Edna also took delight in sewing Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and crocheting many items including baby blankets she shared with a number of people. Edna and Logan were kind giving people who took great joy in preparing their famous pizzas for the TAC house children. She was a dedicated mother to her children making sure they all got to their extra circular activities, including ball games, dance, Boy and Girl Scouts where she served as a troop leader.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 56 years, Logan; son, Donnie; an infant daughter, Gloria Kennedy; one grandson, Trent Canada; and eight brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Ann Hill of Cabot, AR, Michael Buckwalter (Brenda) of El Dorado, Elwin Buckwalter of El Dorado, Rhonda Walters (Danny) of El Dorado, Bert Buckwalter (Nancy) of El Dorado, and Peggy Bonner (Steve) of El Dorado; sister, Pat Parks of El Dorado; nineteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren with a few more on the way.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Perry's Funeral Chapels.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 142 North Wyatt Dr, El Dorado, AR officiated by Bro Steve Pelz. Interment will follow at Burns Ebenezer Cemetery
