Ed had a lot of nicknames such as Eddie, Ed Jr., Mr. Ed, Brother Ed, Brother-in-law, and his favorite
UNCLE ED.
Those left to remember Ed are his brother David W. Murphy and wife Tina (boss lady and favorite sister-
in-law) with their children Keelie Anders and husband Kevin and her daughter Addie Clark and son Kam
Anders, Lacie Murphy and husband Gage Fairris, their son James Richard Gene Fairris (JR) and nephew
Dakota Murphy (hunting buddy) all of Old Union. Brother Stacy R. Dolden and wife Ronda with their
children Blane (Alyssa), Drake, Hunter and Maci, Jessica and Blaine, and Clayton and Jessica and all El

months in Viet Nam, Ed was honorable discharged in December 1969. Ed then moved to Houston to live
with his dad. He learned the parts business and stayed there 15 years before deciding to come back
home to be close to his family. He then worked and managed Macs Auto Parts until its closure. Then he
worked at Teague Ford Lincoln as Parts Manager until his retirement in April 2014.
Ed enjoyed deer hunting as a hobby but enjoyed being outdoors and around his family and friends even
more.
