Eleanor "Kit" Blackwell Barnes 97, of El Dorado, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Timeberlane Health and Rehab.
She was born September 19, 1914 in Weymouth,Massachusetts to Alfred Freeman and Eva (Nash) Blackwell. She worked for over 40 years for Dr. Charles D. Cyphers as his office nurse. She had a passion for travel, sports, reading and being with friends.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Charles Blackwell. Two sisters, Dorothy Nelson and Barbara Procter all of Weymouth, Massachusetts and one special friend Ruby Nell Graham of El Dorado.
She is survived by a daughter, Lois Barnes Rayburn of Texarkana, Tx. Grandchildren, James Michael Harris and Lou of Dickinson, Tx., Pamela Harris Davidson and Michael of Tallhassee, Fl. Charles Andrew Rayburn and Shawn, Dana Matthew Rayburn and Lynn all of Texarkana, Tx. 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Gratitude to special friends Ila Verne Harris, Carolyn Hill and the caring staff at Timberlane Health and Rehab.
