Floy Jerry Garner Blake, 89, of El Dorado, passed from this life on Saturday January 31, 2009 at
Timberlane Health & Rehab. She was born September 9, 1919 in Lawson, Arkansas and is the
daughter of the late Franklin Kyler Jerry and Mattie E. Newsom. She was a beautician for 45
years working at varous beauty salons and her own salons over the years. Later she worked as
the secretary at El Dorado Monument Works.

She was preceded by her parents, and two husbands Linford V. Garner and Lloyd P. Blake, a
brother, Jack Sorrells, Three sisters, Hazel Rushing, Edith Russell, and Thelma Gates, a brother-
in-law Carl E. Blake and also wife Clarice.

She is survived by her daughter Betty Garner Mattox of El Dorado, Three grandchildren; Tim
Orr and wife Lonne of Norphlet; Tammy Orr of Calion, and Melody Etherton and husband Mark
of Conway, Six great-grandchildren; Nicole Kilcrease and husband Josh, Haden Harris and her
husband Anthony, Codi Crecelius and husband Stephen, Jeremy McGaugh and wife Brittany,
Derek Eudy, and Harmony Etherton, seven great-great grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews, and many loving friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Tuesday February 3, 2009 at Perry's Funeral Chapels with
Rev. James Rawls officiating. Serving as pallbeaers will be her nephews; Joe Mac Sorrells,
Ricky Sorrells, Miller Rushing, George "Bud" Cates, Roy Roberson, Mouzon Vestal, Carl Blake
Jr., Kenneth Kirtley, and Eugene Rushing. Burial will be in Rhodes Chapel Cemetery near
Lawson. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Monday February 2, 2009 at the funeral home.
