Obituary

Frank (Bud) Jobe, born July 21, 1940 to Clara Vance Jobe and Frank W. Jobe in Youngs
County, Texas. He quickly received the nickname " Little Buddy" from his Dad. That shortened
to Bud for relatives and friends outside of work. Co-workers and work friends knew him as
Frank. But everywhere he went, he was known and loved. He joined the Navy in 1957 and was in
the SeaBee unit. Upon leaving the navy, he settled in Phoenix, Arizona but traveled from the
West Coast to the East Coast doing carpenter work thru various Carpenter unions.

Bud came to El Dorado in 1969 to be close to his parents for awhile. Here he met and married
Anita Williams Jobe. He has been known over the years to introduce her as his bride, friend,
mother of his children, and wife.

Bud retired from Carpenters Local Union # 1683. He was a lifetime member of the VFW
post # 2413 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a 32nd Scottish Rite Mason. Bud was a
member of Goodwin Field Assembly of God Church in El Dorado and also attended First Assembly
of God Church in El Dorado.

Bud and Anita had planned to sell their home and become full time RVers & travelers upon
their retirement. But,his diagnosis of Cancer in September of 2008 put a halt on this .

Bud loved the outdoors. He no longer deer hunted but loved to watch them come into his yard. He
loved to fish but said as soon as he stuck a hook in the water the fish would get lockjaw. He
didn't care. Said he would just had to clean them if he caught them. So, they really made his life
easier.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his beloved brother-in-law, Jimmy
Williams.
