Gary Don Thompson, of El Dorado passed away at his residence on June 7, 2018. He was born in El Dorado on November 1, 1959 to L.A. Thompson and Madge Townsend. Gary Don was a carpenter by trade, had an extreme passion for fishing and loved his family.

Preceding him in death are his parents and grandson, Houston Slaughter.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Justin Dover and Christopher Reeme; daughters, Jackie Thompson, Samantha Turner, Heather Slaughter (Danny), and Savannah Thompson; brothers, Wayne Gorman and Howard Sain; sisters; Brenda Smith and Vivian Merritt, thirteen grandchildren; a good friend, Tammy Singleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM at Pickett Cemetery in Hampton, AR officiated by Sye Dukes and under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.

Pallbearers are Wade Cottrell, Gary Sweeney, Mark Poindexter, Michael Thurlkill, Darrick Speights, and Buzz Slade.
