Obituary
Geraldine White Taunton, 86, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at her home in Strong.
The daughter of George "Bud" White and Belle Little White, she was born January 28, 1923 in
Strong, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Lapile Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Francis Bolding.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Sam Taunton of Strong, two daughters, Wanda
Norsworthy of Strong, Marianne Ward (Robbie) of Waco, Texas, one son, Jerry Taunton (Joan)
of Warren, Arkansas, a brother Bobby White(Margaret) of Lovelady, Texas. Grandchildren
include: Debbie Rawls (Ricky), Glenda Webb (Tony), Michael Norsworthy (Robin), Kellye
Peters (Brian) and Dustin Ward (Natalie), ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Perry's Funeral
Chapels in Strong.
Funeral will be held at 10:00am on Monday at Lapile Baptist Church with Brother Tommy
Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Lapile Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Clyde Upton, Mervin Bagwell, Jug Johnson, Terry Bolding, Jimmy Munford,
and Roger Dale Webb.
Memorials may be made to Old Lapile Cemetery Fund, 712 Bolding Rd., Huttig, Arkansas 71747
