February 9, 1947 – June 24, 2022
Gloria Dean Murray, 76, of Huntington, AR went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Gloria was a life-long resident of Huttig, AR prior to moving to Huntington in 2012 to be with her daughter.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Opal Woodall Dumas; her husband, Paul H. Murray; and her sister, Brenda Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Allen Dumas (Sylvia) of Huntsville, AR: her children, James Pridgen Jr. (Donna) of El Dorado, AR, Theresse Pridgen of Huntington, AR, Monica Chapman (John) of Huntington, AR, and Wade Murray (Danielle) of Strong, AR.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Pridgen (Kayla) of El Dorado, AR, Autumn Cook (Kyle) of El Dorado, AR, Joshua Murray (Hannah) of Strong, AR, Harleigh Summerville (Bradley) of Fayetteville, AR, Miranda Murray (Riley) of Strong, AR, and Ethan and Zachary Chapman of Huntington, AR; as well as many great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that Knew her affectionately as "Aunt Gogee."
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was actively involved in her community, the church, and school in Huttig. She was a member of First Baptist Church and owned and operated several businesses in Huttig with her husband, Paul.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado, AR. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 Am on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Huttig officiated by Bro. Stan Bolding followed by Interment at Beech Grove Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be made to either First Baptist Church of Huttig or Mercy Hospice in Fort Smith, AR.
