Ivie Jean Martindale 85 of El Dorado passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the MCSA.
She was born May 14, 1928 to Grady and Elsie Bell.
Ivie Jean was known as momma Jean and Nana. She loved sharing her knowledge with the students at Lynndales Beauty School and being outdoors. One of her favorite sayings was "I have a new job when I retire its doing nothing and its never finished".
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband; Mitchell Evans, and second husband James Martindale, two sisters; Maxine and Peggy.
Survivors include sons; Jerry "Skipper" Debo (Doris) of Grand Prarie, Jimmy Evans (Gail) of Bartlett, TN. daughters; Jacquita "JQ" Evans Hayden of El Dorado and Ann Evans Sparks of Allen, TX. nine grandchildren; Yvette, Yvonne, Wilhem, Mitchell, Michelle, Charles, Vance, Dionne, Letitia, fifteen great grandchildren; Cassie, Austin, Henry, Taylor, Ryan, Ashlynn, Timothy, Trevor, Emily, Charles Jr., Christopher, Sienna, Canon, Alex, Vince and one great- great grandson Jacobe
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Monday, February 3 at Perry's Funeral Chapels with funeral services to start at 2 p.m. with Charlotte Smith officiating with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
