Jack Steven Smith, 48 of Lillie, Louisiana passed away at his home Sunday September 6, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 3, 1977 in Kansas City, Kansas to Vance and Ruth Farmer-Smith.

Jack spent most of his life in El Dorado and worked as a welder for Long’s Sheet Metal. He was a caring brother and a loyal friend. He would often spend his own time and resources to help others in need regardless of how long he had known them.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Charlotte Fargis-Smith.

Surviving him are his sister, Alanna Jo Berthelot (Phil); brother, John Fargis-Smith; niece, Amber Sanders (Chelsea); great-niece, Finn Sanders; numerous aunts and uncles.

Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday September 12, 2026 at Perry’s Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Odom officiating. Burial will follow at Strong Cemetery under the direction of Perry’ s Funeral Chapel of El Dorado. An online registry may be signed at www.perrysfuneralchapel.com
