James (Jimmy) Goley 63, of El Dorado, died Thursday February 28, 2008 at Life Touch Hospice.
He was born in El Dorado on June 19th, 1944 and is the son of Wesley Velan Goley and Sarrah
Ellen Evers Goley.
Jimmy was a Truckdriver and worked most of the time. He worked for Shuler Oil Company
most of his career as a truckdriver but had also worked for Nortran Inc., Tyson Foods, and
ConAgra. He last drove a truck for Tilman Scrap Metal before his sickness. When he wasn't
working he loved to fish, and in his spare time he loved reading and watching Western movies.
He will be dearly missed by his family who loved him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, two brothers David Goley and Mike Goley, a sister;
Janice Gray, his grandmother Dora Goley, and an aunt Ruth Murphy.
He is survived by his mother, his wife Dorothy Goley of El Dorado, twin daugters JoAnn Stocks
(Ricky) of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Amanda Phelps (John David) of Strong, Arkansas, three
grandchildren; Zachary Stocks, Courtney Phelps and J.T. Phelps.
Graveside services will be 2:00pm today, Sunday March 3, 2008 at Ebenezer Presbyterian
Cemetery in Strong with Rev. Rodney Grice officiating under the direction of Perry' Funeral
Chapels. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the cemetery.
