James "Bill" Harvey 90, of Norphlet died Monday March 31, 2014 at his home. He was born December 10, 1923 in Laran, Lousisana. He was the son of the late James William Harvey and Irene Hardy Harvey. He was an auto mechanic by trade. He worked for Norphlet Auto Supply for 35 years. He was a member of the Norphlet volunteer Fire Department and he drove a Norphlet School bus for many years.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, His wife; Mary Lorraine Wish Harvey, and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors are his 2 sons; Eddie Harvey and Clarence Harvey, 2 sisters; Janette Barron and Jewel Tucker, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10am Friday April 4, 2014 at Laran Cemetery in Laran, Louisiana with Rev. Lawrence Harrison officiating under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels. The family will be at 602 Pure St. Norphlet.
