James Doyne Turner, 79, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away April 29. 2026. He was born June 14, 1946 in El Dorado , Arkansas, to W.M. (Bill) Turner and Hazel Millican Turner.

James was a Navy Veteran aboard the USS Worden in Viet Nam, and according to a letter of appreciation from Capt. A.T. Stubel, commanding officer of the USS Worden , deployed in Southeast Asia, he was an important member of their team and shares in the successes with which the ship was credited. After the Navy he worked a career as a truck driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers William T. (Tommy) and Charles C. (Charlie) Turner.

He is survived by his daughters Vikki Ward (Ray), Julie Turner, and Son J. W. Turner. He is also survived by three Grandchildren and one Great-Granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry’s Funeral Chapel.
