IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy C.
Hatch
June 21, 1963 – May 2, 2018
Jimmy Clarence Hatch, 54, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was born June 21, 1963, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a 1981 graduate of Norphlet High School where he excelled in all sports, but his main love was football.
From childhood, he worked alongside his father, Clarence Hatch, who preceded him in death, at their family business, Hatch Wireline Service. This skill and extensive knowledge prepared him for a lifelong career in the oil and gas industry, where he worked all over the world and ultimately was working as a consultant.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Hannah Dean, her husband Jeremy Dean, and their son Kamdyn, of El Dorado, Ark. His daughter Whitney Harrison, her husband Peter, and their children, Jackson and Stella, of Kansas City, Missouri.
Jimmy was a brilliant and creative mind. He held a master electrician certification and was a skilled pilot.
He was an avid sportsman, and a great golfer, but his passion was fishing. If he wasn't on the open water casting his line, he was talking about it. He was affectionately named 'Papaw Bucky' by his grandchildren, because of the many bucks he took down in life.
He was a simple man that loved watching black and white movies, westerns, telling stories and making biscuits over campfires. He loved to write, he had an amazing talent for drawing, and he could fix just about anything. He loved his Corvette and riding his Harley. He travelled the world, often taking his children along with him on amazing adventures.
Those that knew and loved him (as hard-headed and stubborn as could sometimes be) want him to be remembered for facing many challenges in life and overcoming them all. Remember his giant and generous heart of gold and his great sense of humor.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, 2018 From 5-7 PM at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Family and friends are invited to gather at the home of his daughter, Hannah, at 304 Mimosa in El Dorado.
