Obituary

Jimmy Ray May 63, of Huttig, died Saturday July 14 at his home. He was born on February 16, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas and is the son of the late Lloyd Ray May and Dora Beatrice Meridith May Huddler.

Jimmy worked as the lead boiler operator at the Huttig sawmill for over 25 years before retiring. At the same time he worked with the Huttig volunteer fire department where some of his duties included working on the department's ambulance service as well as working for the city police department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was a United States Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Dorothy Louise Husley May of Huttig, sons Gene May also of Huttig, Ben May (Jennifer) of Lawson, and Adam May of Huttig, and a sister Linda Linville (Larry) of Fox, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Carri May, Justin May, Lauren May, and an honorary grandchild, Jordyn Black.

Memorial services will be held 2pm Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Lawson Baptist Church with Rev. Don Travis officiating. Cremation services were entrusted to Perry's Funeral Chapels.
