Obituary
Jimmy Ray Tanton, 63, of El Dorado, died Monday, May17, 2010 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born in Dunn, Louisiana, to the late Henry Edward Tanton and Maudie Jones Tanton.
Jimmy worked as a mechanic for Expert Tire in El Dorado. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam.
Jimmy is survived by two sons, Steven Tanton of Johnson City, Tenn. And Ricky Lynn Tanton of El Dorado. Two brothers Glenn Tanton and William Tanton, and a sister Dianne Sue Green all of El Dorado; seven nieces and eleven nephews.
Services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Murmil Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Smith and Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery under the
direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the funeral home from 5 til 8 PM.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Miller, Bubba Ray, Joseph West, Patrick Hicks, John Hardaway, and
John Tatum
The family will be at the Glenn Tanton residence 253 Amason Road, El Dorado
