Jo Ann Hill, 78, of El Dorado, entered into her final rest on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Life Touch Hospice House following a brief illness.

She was born on August 28, 1938 in El Dorado to Elvin Ray Lewis and Flossie Williams Lewis. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Union Baptist Church where she served in various capacities over the years.

She worked as an administrative assistant at the El Dorado News Times for 21 years, until her retirement in 2005.

She was truly an example of the Proverbs 31 woman....."and excellent wife, far more precious than jewels" .... "her children rise up and call her blessed:...."she looks well to the ways of her household:..."the teaching of kindness is on her tongue".... all these things were true of her; beautiful lady, inside and out.

She filled her retirement days with caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, not to mention members of her church and community.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, James (Jimmy) Franklin Dolden; one sister, Emma Lou Lewis Trotter.

She is survived by her husband, Thad Hill of El Dorado; two sons, John Dolden (Angelia) of El Dorado and Harold Dolden (Donald) of Dorchester, MA; one daughter, Rita Parrish (Gregg) of Bigelow, Ar; daughter- in- law, Pam Dolden of Newnan, GA; stepsons Mike Hill (Mary), Scott Hill and Russ Hill; step-daughters, Kristi Misenheimmer (Gary) and Lorrie Moudy (Billy Bob) all of El Dorado; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; one sister, Faye Richmond (Wishbone).

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Friday, June 16 at Mt. Union Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 17 at Mt. Union Baptist Church with Bro. John Ayres officiating.

Interment will be at Smyrna Cemetery under direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.

The family will be at "Ma's House", 439 Old Burton Gin Road, El Dorado.
