Joaquin Duke, 97, of El Dorado, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was born on June 22, 1922 in Lisbon, Arkansas to Verdie and Gladys Duke. She was employed by Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator for 35 years. Her great pleasures were reading, tending to her flowers and caring for any stray animals that came around.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Joann Richard. Survivors include her brother, Jerry Duke (Brenda) of Ruston, Louisiana; nephew, Lynn Morgan (Donna) of Milford, Connecticut; nieces Deborah Childs (Vic) of El Dorado, and Cindy Richard of Ruston, Louisiana; great-nephews and nieces, Jennifer, Kelly, Casey, Collin, Ryan and Stacey; great-great nephews and nieces, Brandon, Kiarra, Jaylan, Mackenzie and Brayden.
