Joe Wayne Roberson, age 79, of Smackover, passed from this life Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his home. Joe was born May 5, 1944 in Millington, Shelby County, Tenn to the late William Milton Roberson and Jesse Wilma "Wimmer" Key Roberson.

Joe was a master carpenter for 56 years, during which time he met and befriended many. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting as well as fishing and spending time with family and friends.  To know Joe was to love him.  He was a kind and loving man that worked hard and lived a simple life.  Joe will be dearly missed by all blessed to know him.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Diane Roberson; one sister Barbara Ann Buzzbee; son, Randy Roberson and wife Mona; daughters, Debbie Vinson and husband, Mark, Tonya Doyle and husband, Doug, Shannon Worsham and husband, Tiger; grandchildren, Wade Owens, Jessika Howe, Kara Wilson, Tish Gwathney, Shawna Yoder, Alexys Moeller, Gabriela Hodges, Rachel Merks, Laura Anderson; great-grandchildren, Riley, Emeri, Axyl and Dawson, Ember, Kaison and Maddux, Audrey, Frankie and Quin, Tucker and Lucas, Ella and Evan, Reaghan, Malachi and Kennedy; special friends and co-workers, Susan Spooner and Billy Eiland.  Joe was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon Frank "Robbie" Roberson, William Howard "Shorty" Roberson; sisters, Billie Jean Taylor and Betty Sue Wedgeworth.

Graveside services for Joe Roberson will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Crossroads Cemetery, Bro. Regan McDaniel officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Joe's honor to:  Wings to Recovery 445 Industrial Rd, El Dorado, AR 71730.
