Joey Everett Smalley, 59, of El Dorado passed away on December 28, 2022 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born on September 6, 1963 in Camden, AR to Benjamin "Benny" Everett Smalley and Bertha Pennington Watts. Joey loved the outdoors and participated in several outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed working on old cars and trucks, as well as dumpster diving. Joey was a very happy go lucky person and one could often find him walking around singing "Sweet Bertha". He was known as a kind and generous person who was passionate about helping others.

He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin "Benny' Everett Smalley; paternal grandparents, Buster and Daisy Smalley; and maternal grandparents, Benny and Lola Pennington.

Survivors include his daughter, Kristin Smalley of Monroe, LA; son, Johnny Smalley of Monroe, LA; mother, Bertha Watts of El Dorado, AR; sisters, Libby Miller Hampton and Cindy Harris (Billy) of El Dorado, AR; and grandchildren, Layne, Finley, Lexlee, and June Smalley of Monroe, LA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church officiated by Bro. J.D. Weido.
